Affordable Transformers Energon Toys

The Transformers Energon toys series, produced in 2004-2005 was a big hit with audiences in part because the television series first began to use computer generated graphics in that year.  From a developmental standpoint, there were also some new, compelling abilities and accessories for the Transformers, such as the Energon weapons and stars.

The Energon series is, as far as the larger vehicles, go, expensive: ranging from the $40 Snow Cat, to Galvatron, who retails at $210.  It depends on who you are, but with so many different Transformers available for purchase, I am not sure I would consider any of those options affordable, because once you buy one, your child will want another, and so on.

There are also a number of more affordable purchases, ranging from the $7 Omnicron Strongarm to the $14 Omnicron Arcee.  These are the small units, many of which may be combined to form larger, more potent Transformers that appear in some of the best and most-watched episodes of the television series.

But the trick to buying Transformers Energon for your kids at an affordable rate is not included with the price guide just given.  It is instead a toy-buying strategy that will keep both you and your kid happy.  So rather than jumping straight into a significant purchase, when your kid asks for one, make sure he/she knows how significant the purchase is, not in terms of monetary value, but just because it is his/her first Transformer purchase.

Allow your child to select one of the smaller models, and before purchasing, be sure to tell him/her when you will be able to buy the next one, if he/she wants it.  Reserve the big Transformers, such as Galvatron, etc., for birthdays/Christmas.  That is how you can keep Transformers toys from putting you in the red (either monetarily, or emotionally).  Good luck!
