Get Access To Your Guns Quickly With Wall Safes

Many folks, particularly non gun owners think of wall safes as a sneaky place to hide precious jewels and small mountains of cash under the concealment of a painting or a book shelf.  While this can be a very effective use of wall safes if properly planned out and installed, it isn’t really my cup of tea.  Personally, if i were so fortunate as to have precious jewels in my house, I would lock them up behind a two ton steel vault.

I like my wall gun safe because it allows me to have quick access to my firearms should I be in a home defense situation where I need them.  There are primarily two different ways to keep your children out of your guns, without sacrificing their accessibility to you.  That’s a small, stand alone bedside handgun safe, or a wall safe which can be swiftly opened by the likes of a biometric reader or an electronic keypad lock.

The reason I tend to lead toward wall safes in this instance is because I tend to prefer rifles and shotguns over pistols in the realm of self defense.  The fact is, no matter how slick that little Gun Vault is by your bed (I’m not being sarcastic – they are slick), you’re never going to fit a Colt M4 in that tiny little box.  The rifle safe embedded in my bedroom wall, however, has absolutely no problem housing such a proud weapon.

Handgun safes are predominantly a more popular breed of the wall persuasion as well, but for my money, safes built for long guns give you the clear tactical advantage – should you be a gun nut like myself who’s seen six thousand too many 80s action movies.  Seriously though, folks, if you’re looking for a way to keep your guns out of the hands of your children, but accessible enough that you could get to them in an urgent scenario, in wall gun safes may be your ticket.
