Strange Animals Continue to Baffle
The world is a strange and intriguing place when you venture outside of your normal surroundings. On this planet, there are so many things that we still do not understand, so many things that have yet to be undiscovered and living things big and small. Among the living things we share the earth with are animals and there are many common and well-known animals that we have come to know a lot about. On the other hand, there are also many strange and rare animals that we know very little to nothing about.
Every continent has it’s strange animals. These animals spark interest and curiosity and sometimes even puzzle top scientists around the world. In North America it is the star-nosed mole that puzzles many. In South America, it is the Alpaca that stirs curiosity. In Asia, the Leafy Seadragon is one of the strangest creatures on that continent. The Angora Rabbit continues to baffle people in Europe with it’s fir so long that you can barely find it’s face! In Africa, the Aye Aye takes first place for strangest animal. Since it’s discovery, the Platypus not only puzzled the people of Australia. Scientists all over the world are still trying to figure out t his bizarre creature.
Of course, there are many more rare animals that have made this list and many more will, no doubt, be added in the future as we continue to discover more and more species everyday!
Unfortunately, because we don’t know a lot about some of these animals and many of them continue to avoid being discovered, their survival is at risk. An already rare animals or an animal which we know nothing about is at risk of becoming extinct because we do not know how to protect them or what they require for survival. Continuing research is important to continue learning about these creatures to ensure that they are around for as long as we are!
