I did not have much money on me but I was able to get my own car by repairing a salvaged car. I thought at first that this must be a desperate move from my part as I started to look around second hand car markets looking for salvage cars that have been repaired. But it was nothing like what I expected at all. I thought I would be seeing junk and totally hopeless damaged cars but I was able to see a number of cars who are still running in good condition and they only had minor damages to deal with.

The main reason why I decided to look into fixed salvage cars instead of new cars was the obvious fact that they are cheaper. It was a great way to save money for me. It was a great investment especially if you would be able to get hold of a car that still runs well and you only have to pay a few hundred dollars to repair them.
A salvage car does not really mean entirely damaged. There is some value left there. I was not really in to cards but I had a mechanic friend who loves to tinker around cars so I brought him along. I suggest this to those who are not mechanically educated. It helps to have someone who knows what he is doing.

What to Do With Fixed Salvage Cars
When we were looking for used cars my friend warned me that the car had a salvage title and that I had to get the regular title back. I had no idea what he was talking about. It turned out that salvage cars are given salvage titles in order to protect other car buyers from buying them. It was a way of warning car buyers that the car has potential problems.
So for a small fee, I had my friend check my “new” second hand salvage car once more in order to make sure that it was in good condition. After a few days we had it under inspection. Once my car passed inspection, I was given a regular title and I was free to use it on the road.
Now I have a car and it was I got it for a steal. It was actually a wise move and I have no regrets so far.
